Veriha Trucking School – Company Paid CDL Training
Veriha Trucking, Inc. was established in 1978 by John Veriha in Porterfield, Wisconsin. John Veriha as the company’s only employee, making long haul runs across the country, transporting products from Wisconsin to California and back. Thanks to John’s dedication and reliability, his company grew and prospered in a short amount of time. In fact, in 1982, Veriha Trucking moved to nearby Marinette, Wisconsin in order to expand the business.
Today, Veriha Trucking is owned and operated by John’s own daughter, Karen. The trucking company provides logistic solutions in the 48 contiguous states and parts of Canada. Over 250 Veriha truck drivers work out of four terminals located in the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast regions. Veriha truck drivers haul a variety of different products, including paper goods, pet food, groceries, produce, auto parts and more.
Even though the company has grown over the past four decades, Veriha Trucking still holds true to their core values and goals:
- Safety
- Personal Development
- People First
- Go the Extra Mile
- Sustainable Results
Veriha Trucking works hard to offer sustainable, affordable and safety-conscious logistic solutions to their vast network of customers.
Not only does Veriha Trucking take care of their customers, they take great pride in taking care of their drivers as well. It’s no wonder that Veriha Trucking was voted by their drivers as one of the “Best Fleets to Driver For in 2018”.
The Veriha Trucking School Paid Apprenticeship Program
What sets Veriha Trucking’s company paid CDL training program apart from other paid CDL training programs is that you will be hired as a full-time paid employee from day 1 of the program.
The Veriha Trucking paid apprenticeship program is 8 to 12 weeks long and begins at the Veriha Trucking School in Marinnette, Wisconsin.
In order to be considered for the Veriha Trucking Paid Apprenticeship Program, you will be required to fill out an application and send in a recorded video of yourself answering the following four questions:
- What is a personal accomplishment you are most proud of and why?
- Why do you want to be a professional driver?
- What sets you apart from our other applicants to be one of the 3.5 million professional drivers in the US?
- What are three characteristics that describe a professional driver? Which one is most important?
Your video doesn’t have to look like a Hollywood production. You can simply use your smart phone video camera or a webcam to record yourself answering the four questions above.
The Veriha Trucking Driving Academy administrator will review your application and video and decide if you qualify for the apprenticeship program based on your answers.
The Paid Apprenticeship Program Costs
The only costs you will have to pay are your transportation costs to and from the Veriha Trucking School located in Marinnette, Wisconsin as well as your meals and drinks. You will also be required to pay the fee for your commercial learner’s permit (CLP) which you will be required to obtain in your own state before you start the program. All other expenses, such as lodging, are covered by Veriha Trucking.
As long as you complete the paid apprenticeship program and drive for Veriha Trucking for at least 18 months, you will not be required to pay back any portion of the $11,500 tuition. If, however, you break the contract before the 18 months is up, you will be required to pay back the entire $11,500 tuition.
Keep in mind that the Veriha Trucking School does not have an option to pay all CDL training costs up front with no obligation to drive for them once your training is complete.
