Diesel Powered Equipment Technology
The Diesel Powered Equipment Technology program at Louisiana Delta Community College is designed to prepare students for an exciting career in the diesel power equipment technology industry through specialized training and practical hands-on experience.
Students will be taught diesel theory in the classroom and gain practical hands-on experience in the shop, learning how to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and service various diesel-powered engine systems using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, computerized diagnostic machines, power tools, and hand tools.
Students will also learn safe and efficient work habits as well as important communication and leadership skills as they work both independently and in groups.

In order to graduate, students must complete each class and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, the equivalent of a “C” grade.

The One-Year Technical Diploma
Louisiana Delta Community College offers a 60-week Technical Diploma in Diesel Powered Equipment Technology. This program is Pell Grant eligible.
