John Deere Tech

Taught by award winning instructors, the John Deere Tech program at Lake Land College is made up of small career-specific classes that focus on advancing the skill level of new John Deere service technicians.

Students learn diesel theory in the classroom and gain valuable hands-on experience in the laboratory, both independently and as a team, as they work on the latest agriculture equipment and resources. Each student will learn about John Deere’s diesel engine systems, hydraulics, powertrains, electronics, machine setup and adjustment, and high-tech precision ag systems as they are guided in using diagnostic computers and tools to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair John Deere’s Agricultural and Turf Equipment.

Students who successfully complete the John Deere Tech program at Lake Land College will be awarded an Associate in Applied Science degree and will be given the opportunity to receive their Service ADVISOR, hydraulic, and electrical certifications. While students are required to pay for their own tools, financial aid and scholarships are available to help supplement tuition costs.
