Automotive and Diesel Technology
The Automotive and Diesel Technology program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College provides training, knowledge and skills for students who desire to learn about clean fuels and technologies such as CNG, LNG, ethanol, biodiesel, fuel cell, and hybrid.
Students will receive classroom instruction and hands-on training in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining alternative fuel systems.
Graduates of the Automotive and Diesel Technology program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College will be certified journey-level mechanics qualified to troubleshoot and repair the complex problems associated with CNG fuel systems.
The Associate in Occupational Studies Degree and Undergraduate Certificates
Los Angeles Trade Technical College offers a two-year Associate in Applied Science Degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology. Los Angeles Trade Technical College also offers a two-year Undergraduate Certificate in Automotive and Diesel Technology as well as an Undergraduate Certificate in Hybrid and Electric Plug-in Vehicles. Both the two-year Associate in Applied Science Degree program and the two-year Undergraduate Certificate program are Pell Grant eligible. Some students may qualify for the BOG Fee Waiver to help pay for their education.
