Getting Your CDL in Order to Work for Trucking Companies in NJ

You are legally required to obtain your Commercial Drivers License (CDL), to be eligible for employment with any of the trucking companies in New Jersey. To get your CDL, you must first obtain your New Jersey Commercial Learners Permit (CLP). The process for doing this includes providing the proper documentation, paying the required fees, and passing a CDL general knowledge written exam.
