Diesel and Truck Technology
The Diesel and Truck Technology program at Northwest Technical Institute provides training, knowledge and skills for students who desire to learn how to service and repair a wide variety of makes and models of diesel engines.
Through specialized classroom instruction and hands-on training, students will develop the necessary skills to diagnose, service, and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. Students will learn how to analyze and diagnose truck component failure, and service the components using the proper testing and troubleshooting procedures. High quality workmanship and preventative maintenance techniques will be taught and utilized in the laboratory.
Graduates of the Diesel and Truck Technology program at Northwest Technical Institute will be qualified to secure an entry level position in a variety of occupations, including diesel technician, parts counter sales, break down coordinator, and warranty clerk.

Students are required to complete every class and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, the equivalent of a “C” grade, in order to graduate.
